The Sanuvair^® S300 has a simple air cleaning process:

Mold, viruses and bacterias are pulled past a J-shaped UV lamp parallel to airflow inside an aluminum reflection chamber, to maximize exposure time of airborne contaminants to UV.
A MERV 8 pre-filter captures large particles.
A HEPA final filter captures 99.97% of particles of 0.3 micron and larger.
